Once you get sand it in, it's very hard to get out unless you wash it due to the material. Also, closing it is an issue if you take even a basic beach towel. Overall I wouldn't recommend this.This tote is super cute & very well made.I found it to be the perfect size for towels, water bottles, etc without being too crowded to find anything.
